The Leonida Keys in GTA 6 are a chain of islands linked by long bridges, based on the real Florida Keys. They swap the big-city rush of Vice City for boats, fishing towns and turquoise water.

Why the Keys matter
The Keys are where the story finds Jason Duval. He works for Brian Heder, an old-school drug runner here, and lives rent-free in one of Brian’s properties. Also, Jason’s friend Cal Hampton works in the same operation.
What Rockstar has shown
The trailers show long bridges, small island towns and plenty of boats. So water travel looks important here, and boats should be a fast way to move between islands. In addition, the area feels quieter and more small-town than the mainland.
The Keys also link back to Vice City by road, so you can expect long scenic drives between the two.
Exploring the Leonida Keys in GTA 6
Exploring the Leonida Keys in GTA 6 should feel slower and quieter than the city. The islands are Jason’s home turf, and two people in his life are based here: his landlord and boss, Brian Heder, and his friend Cal Hampton. So the Keys look like the starting point of Jason’s side of the story. Also, the bridges and open water suggest that boats will matter more here than anywhere else. Read the Brian Heder profile and the Cal Hampton profile to learn more about the people of the Keys.
What we don’t know yet
We do not know how many islands there are or which missions take place here yet. However, we will add towns, businesses and secrets from launch day. Meanwhile, read more about Jason Duval or see every location in Leonida.
