Cal Hampton is Jason Duval’s friend and one of his fellow workers in Brian Heder’s drug-running operation in the Leonida Keys. Rockstar introduced him in its official character profiles in May 2025.
Who is Cal Hampton?
Rockstar paints Cal as a homebody. He feels happiest at home with a few beers, listening in on Coast Guard radio and browsing in private tabs. He is also suspicious of the rich and powerful, and he seems convinced that they are up to something.
So Cal looks set to be the comic, paranoid voice in Jason’s circle. Because he works with Jason for Brian, he is likely to appear in the Keys side of the story, although Rockstar has not confirmed his missions.
Where Cal fits in
- Friends with: Jason Duval
- Works for: Brian Heder
- Home turf: the Leonida Keys
Cal’s profile appeared alongside Trailer 2 and the big update to Rockstar’s official website, which added around 70 screenshots and profiles for characters and places across Leonida.
What we don’t know yet
Rockstar has shared only short profiles before launch, so we do not know how big a part Cal plays in the story or which missions they appear in. However, we will update this entry from launch day on November 19, 2026, with missions, locations and story details, and we will hide any spoilers behind spoiler boxes.
Every fact on this page comes from Rockstar’s own character profiles, the trailers or the official website, and each one is listed in the sources below. Also, we never add rumours or leaked details to a profile. So if a field in the fact sheet is empty, it means Rockstar has not confirmed it yet.
Meanwhile, meet the rest of the cast in our characters directory and the GTA 6 characters guide, or see where the story takes place in the locations directory.
