Lucia Caminos is one of the two playable protagonists of Grand Theft Auto VI, and the first non-optional female lead of a mainline GTA game since the series went 3D. Her father taught her to fight, and life has been one fight after another ever since.
Who is Lucia Caminos?
According to Rockstar’s profile, fighting for her family landed Lucia in Leonida Penitentiary. Now that she is out, she has learned her lesson and wants to make only smart moves. However, her partnership with Jason Duval soon puts that plan to the test.
Rockstar has compared the pair’s story to Bonnie and Clyde. So Lucia is not a sidekick: the story is built around the two of them, and players can switch between them.
Lucia in the trailers
Lucia opened the very first trailer, released on December 4, 2023, which showed her in a Leonida correctional facility. That trailer set a YouTube record for the most views in 24 hours for a non-music video. Trailer 2 in May 2025 then showed more of her life outside, together with Jason.
- Played as: one of two switchable leads
- Debut: Trailer 1, December 2023
- Connections: Jason Duval
What we don’t know yet
Rockstar has shared only short profiles before launch, so we do not know how big a part Lucia plays in the story or which missions they appear in. However, we will update this entry from launch day on November 19, 2026, with missions, locations and story details, and we will hide any spoilers behind spoiler boxes.
Every fact on this page comes from Rockstar’s own character profiles, the trailers or the official website, and each one is listed in the sources below. Also, we never add rumours or leaked details to a profile. So if a field in the fact sheet is empty, it means Rockstar has not confirmed it yet.
Meanwhile, meet the rest of the cast in our characters directory and the GTA 6 characters guide, or see where the story takes place in the locations directory.
