PC players may not have to wait as long as they did for GTA V. According to a GamesBeat report from October 2026, Rockstar plans to release Grand Theft Auto VI on PC in the first quarter of 2027, a few months after the console launch on November 19, 2026.
Warning
This is a report, not an announcement. Rockstar and Take-Two have not confirmed a PC version or a date.
How long Rockstar usually makes PC players wait
Rockstar has a long history of launching on consoles first:
- GTA V: consoles in September 2013, PC in April 2015, about 19 months later.
- Red Dead Redemption 2: consoles in October 2018, PC in November 2019, about 13 months later.
A release in early 2027 would be the shortest gap yet for a major Rockstar game.
Should you wait for the PC version?
If you only play on PC, there is no official date to plan around yet. If you have a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, the console version arrives on November 19 for $79.99, with pre-loading from November 10.
