Grassrivers in GTA 6 is a huge wetland on the edge of Vice City, inspired by Florida’s Everglades. It is a world of swamps, airboats, alligators and narrow channels, and it feels very different from the city.

What Rockstar has shown
The trailers show airboats racing through the reeds and wildlife on the banks. So the best way around Grassrivers looks like the water, not the road. In addition, Rockstar’s Launch Gallery in November 2026 included airboat shots in this area.
Because the area is remote, it should be a natural place for chases, hideouts and wildlife encounters, although Rockstar has not confirmed specific missions here.

Exploring Grassrivers in GTA 6
Exploring Grassrivers in GTA 6 will be very different from driving through a city. Roads are few, so the water is the main route, and airboats are the obvious choice. Also, the wetlands are home to wildlife, so watch where you step. Because the area is remote and hard to search, it should suit hideouts and escapes from the police. In addition, the six-star wanted system shown in the August 2026 showcase may make places like this extra useful for losing pursuers. Read about that system in our gameplay systems guide.
