Two protagonists instead of three

GTA V switched between three criminals. GTA 6 focuses on a couple, Jason and Lucia, whose relationship drives the story.

A new state

GTA V parodied Southern California. GTA 6 heads to Leonida, a Florida-inspired state with swamps, islands and Vice City, last visited in 2006’s Vice City Stories.

Deeper systems

Ideas from Red Dead Redemption 2 move into GTA: a reputation-tracking Criminal Profile, richer NPC interactions and limited weapon loadouts with the rest stored in your vehicle.

Performance

GTA V’s PS5 and Xbox Series versions offer 60 fps modes. GTA 6 targets 30 fps on consoles, according to Rockstar North.
